TOP NATIONAL HUMANITIES PRIZE FOR GALFRID SCHOOL STUDENT

The Galfrid School is proudly celebrating the national success of one of its pupils, Gabriele Pace, who has won the Humanities Award at United Learning’s prestigious Best in Everyone Awards 2025.

Held annually since 2013, the Best in Everyone Awards recognise the remarkable achievements of students and staff across United Learning schools nationwide. Each year, schools host their own awards to celebrate academic and extracurricular excellence, after which they nominate their most outstanding winners for the national competition. These nominees are then considered by a national judging panel, with winners invited to attend a prestigious ceremony. This year’s events were held both online and in person, with a dedicated Primary Awards Ceremony taking place at Hunningley Primary Academy in Yorkshire, and a main ceremony at Oxford Town Hall.

Gabriele was selected from a highly competitive field of nominees from across the country to receive the top national award for Humanities at the primary level. A well-rounded and enthusiastic learner, he has consistently impressed staff with his keen interest across all Humanities subjects, his ability to make sophisticated connections across the curriculum, and his empathetic and curious approach to learning.

Speaking about his award, Gabriele said:

“I feel very honoured to have won this award. I really enjoy my Humanities lessons.”

Claire Macfie, Head Teacher at The Galfrid School, said:

“We are absolutely delighted that Gabi has won the Humanities Prize. He is a fabulous role model for the way he embraces Humanities learning and we are all very proud of him.”

This national recognition highlights not only Gabriele’s exceptional commitment and talent but also reflects the quality of teaching and the nurturing environment at The Galfrid School.
