New Starters' Information - Reception

Welcome to those who will join us in September 2024 in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Starting school should be an exciting experience for both you and your child and we are ready to support you every step of the way in this journey. We offer a range of activities designed to help you learn more about us and for us to get to know you. 

  • Parent meeting on Thursday 16th May at 5:00 p.m. Please feel free to bring your children with you. Please book your attendance here
  • “Stay and play” on Tuesday 11th June at 9:30 a.m. and on Tuesday 25th June at 1:30 p.m. We look forward to meeting you and your child.
  • School Tours: for parents to see the school in action. Contact us to book a tour with the Head of School and the opportunity for a more informal Q&A.
  • Meetings with the SENDCo: if your child has any additional needs, Miss French, our SENDCo, will be in touch with you and your child's nursery to offer additional meetings and tours.
  • Summer fair on Friday 21st June from 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. organised by our PTFA. A chance for everyone to get together, with games, fun activities, stalls, food, drink, music, dancing and more. Join us to get a taste of our vibrant community.

We hope that the information we have provided will begin to answer some of the questions you may have and help you prepare you for your child's first day here at The Galfrid School.
