Uniform

Uniform

We have a dress code at The Galfrid School which we encourage all children to follow. The expectation for pupils is:

  • Grey school trousers, grey shorts or grey skirt

  • For Reception, Y1, & Y2 Ties are optional. If I tie is worn a white shirt must be worn with this. If a child chooses to not wear a school tie then a white polo shirt can be worn

  • Children in Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 are required to wear a school tie and a white shirt

  • Dark grey school jumper

  • Black school shoes

  • In summer: as above, or white and pale blue school dress

We ask that, for safety reasons, children do not wear jewellery other than one pair of plain ear studs.

PE and Swimming

To ensure children get the most from their PE lessons it is important that they are dressed appropriately. School PE kit is as follows:

  • Black shorts - Please email the office to order
  • White t-shirt
  • Trainers or pumps
  • Black tracksuit bottoms in winter
  • The Galfrid School PE sweatshirt - Please email the office to order

For swimming, children will need a swimsuit. Hair will also need to be tied back.

Every child should have black shorts, a white t-shirt and a pair of plimsolls. It is useful to have a warm tracksuit and trainers as PE takes place throughout the year and we are outside as much as possible. PE kit should be kept in a bag which is clearly labelled with the child’s name.

All school clothes, bags and footwear need to be clearly labelled to ensure children end the day with the same outfit they started with.

Hair should always be tied back. All jewellery should be removed, including earrings.

Ordering Uniform

Please log into Arbor to use our school shop to purchase all uniform. Delivery will be made to the school free of charge on a weekly basis.

Any purchased items not from our supplier must be the same as those detailed as all students must come to school dressed smartly and in the correct uniform. This provides students with a sense of professionalism and enables them to be easily identifiable to our Trust/schools.
